See you at ION Truckstop … got to get a couple more hours on the new machine. Then going to get the 10 hr service before I head down to Moab the first week of April.

We rode the route yesterday, there is a fairly steep and rocky downhill for about a mile long. Going down isn’t a problem so much but you will need four wheel drive to get back up the grade.

We have two options for attempting this hill, for those who don’t want to go down the hill, Rick will take you on another route and meet back up down the road, or you can go down the hill and if you don’t think you can make it back up, Rick will take you down the pavement and meet up with the others.

I don’t think a 2wd will make it back up the hill, there are a couple places that is steep and rocky.

Another great day of riding ATV’s in the Owyhee mountains, we had about 40 people in 31 machines. It was a beautiful day with sunshine and warm temps and a lot of great folks to visit with. All had a good time and enjoyed each others friendship.

I am quite proud of all the riders, no one got left behind and no one got lost, everyone rode safe and enjoyed the challenges. The gal with the 2 wheel drive 250 Honda got the prize of the day for going up the rock hill in two wheel drive…Good going!

Thanks to all who came out to ride, I enjoyed your company very much and a thank you to Rick for being the tail gunner.

Awesome ride Kenny. Lots of variety with some easy trails, some intermediate, some steep and rocky, the dam, the glory hole and nice lunch spot. This rides needs to be an annual ride! Thanks again.

    Kenny,

Thanks for leading this ride, we had a great time. After we turned south on the main ridge we looped around the state park and returned back to the trucks via the Antelope Springs trail. Crossing Succor Creek by the power lines was interesting so say the least. I have a ride report posted on the Kuna Trail Riders forum of our day.

    Thanks again!

Thanks for the ride Kenny, and thanks to everyone that made our first trip so memorable. Marie is ready to tackle the rock hill again and is certain she can make it without a “push” (thanks Blake!) this time.

Even with her considerable 2wd prowess, we are keeping an eye out for a 4wd upgrade.
